1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 If this is a genuine crack-down on diving,
to stop the stimulation from surviving
then somebody has to be the first
so that diving gets no worse.
However, if this is all lies,
a “witch-hunt” in a loose disguise;
Eduardo’s far from the only one
who’ll do anything to get a match won,
by far not the most common offender,
Premiership fans, you must remember
Ronaldo – a diver despite his skill,
Drogba, Gerrard – they do it still.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 If UEFA’ll treat every case the same,
then I have no cause to, and won’t, complain
and a two-match ban is fine by me.
But will they charge others? We will see.

Notes

If UEFA really are determined to get rid of diving then great, but UEFA say a lot of things. They claimed to have a ‘zero-tolerance policy’ against racism but their pathetic response to the abuse shouted at Balotelli tells a different story.
