My family still a 3 leafed clover
A waiting game was still the essence
Anxiety morphed to acquiescence

In the Brandywell that very night
Our City stars were burning bright
The Beast had 6 in the last three

First gas and air, expletives plural
Until she got her epidural

My phone went on, to spread the joy
To tell the world we had a boy
The texts instead came flooding in
To let me know of an away win

I told them all, the far, the wide
The pride I felt, tried to describe
When Joffy scored, my son did roar

The word was out, my son was here
A City fan, there is no fear
The texts they came, they never ceased
All with the words, “Unleash The Beast”
