Half time public exposé

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Roasting chestnuts, in an open ire
A furious Phil Brown
Rants unashamedly, wishing to re-kindle desire

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 A jabbing finger, points the blame
To all and sundry
Will the team ethic ever be the same?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Was it a faux pas? Or masterstroke?
Will it get the players united
Or will they mumble : “what a joke!”?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Will it have the desired effect?
Will it herald a return to form –
Or a season wrecked?

Notes

Extraordinary shenanigans in yesterdays matches.

This poem about Phil Brown’s very public dressing down of his team.
He did his team talk in front of the Hull City fans at Man City’s Eastlands ground, with the Tigers 4-0 down.

The same days saw Riccardo Fuller sent off for clipping his own captain (Andy Griffin) around the ear after they had conceded a goal away at West Ham.

Bizarre!
