Club or your Country ?

what’s it going to be ?
That’s an easy one to answer
it’s always club for me.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Anyway I don’t rate England
they’re not a good international side
but I used to be a big fan
and wear the shirt with pride.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 But they’re so vastly overrated
and so far behind the likes of Spain
we all know they’ll win nothing
all Capello will give you is pain.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Wayne Rooney had a childish tantrum
and got himself a straight red
proving while he may be a gifted player
there’s not a lot of sense in his head.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So I’ll stick with my beloved club
as they’re number one for me
and even though they drive me mad
the more important team is Coventry.

Notes

Talking over the weekend with fellow football fans the conversation got on to what means the most, club or country? Only one chose country first, the rest said club. The England fan said we weren’t patriotic, but to be honest I’ve lost interest in all that patriotic stuff, like a lot of England players it’s so overrated !
