There’s always next season

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Some fans will be feeling sick as Parrots
while others are over the Moon,
those supporters are going to be happy
but for some the end can’t come too soon.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Players will be doing a lap of honour
their fans clapping as they run around
but the team that has been relegated
their followers are sobbing as they exit the ground.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 A winning manager is thrown into the air
as Champagne is drank well into the night
but the side that sadly is going down
a few of their angry fans are wanting a fight.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The dejected supporter is unsure what to do
but the victorious one heads straight to the pub
him and his mates celebrate till the early hours
telling everyone how much they just love their club.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So a football season is a Rollercoaster ride
and you’re relegated if you hardly get a win
but you have to congratulate the winners
and if you lose just take it on the chin.

Notes

So my club have gone down and it does feel horrible, but it was on the cards as we have had a terrible season.

At the moment my city is celebrating twenty five years since we won the F.A.Cup, but instead of me joining in and writing something about it because I was there that day at Wembley, I can’t be bothered.

Instead of looking back for something to get excited about I want something now not a quarter of a century ago.

But as the title suggests there’s next season to come but us fans in Coventry have been saying that for Donkey’s years !
