Another One Bites The Dust

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Steven Pressley has been sacked
Elvis has left the building in a huff,
the board had lost their patience
and the City fans said they’d had enough.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 But Pressley really tried his best
yet results had not gone his way,
but football is a really hard business
so it was time to call it a day.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 So who will want this tricky job
the dreaded managerial seat ?
as us weary long suffering fans
want a team that’s really hard to beat.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The new boss will have be tough
with shoulders broad and wide,
and he will have to bring in players
who will wear the Sky Blue with pride.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Yet our club is called a sleeping giant
but it just needs to be waken up,
as we are fed up talking about our past
like when we beat Spurs to win the F.A. Cup.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 So good luck to Coventry City’s new manager
and you can bring us success I pray,
but you do know your health will be affected
and your dark hair will turn grey !

Notes

Our manager was sacked yesterday after two years in charge so once again we are looking for yet another one to save our miserable season. The owners who are hated by the majority of fans say they’ve already had 70 calls by interested parties but who in their right mind wants to come to a club with the owners from Hell ? Still us die-hard fans will get behind whoever comes in as that’s all you can do. Never a dull moment at Coventry City !
