John Giles pulls out Cobh Ramblers, David Blaine pulls out a rabbit.

The little clubs anticipate their great day in the sun,
Then find that they are drawn away to Bray or Ballymun,
That’s the magic, that’s the magic of the Cup.

Coach companies are all booked out, their owners celebrating,
And the road to Cork is strewn with countless people urinating.
That’s the magic, that’s the magic of the Cup.

When bigger clubs all say, “We have to show them some respect,”
But don’t know where they are until the road map has been checked,
That’s the magic, that’s the magic of the Cup.

Then come into the game and very cynically destroy it,

And anyone called David keeps on looking round for giants,

Five hundred football followers all queue outside a chipper,
The people at the back all have to share a mangy kipper,

Ten minutes in, no longer are there any dreams of glory,

Cobh Ramblers had a super chance. Alas! They failed to grab it.
Imagine being beaten by a white and fluffy rabbit,
