There’s an inevitability
As to how this will occur
Success will be fleeting
Go by in a blur

Before anyone has us sussed
But by season’s end
We’ll probably have gone bust

Old reliables, normally plodders
Will spring around like lambs
But that’s just until the slaughtering starts
And they’re loaned out to the Rams

Will flatter to deceive
For when the culling starts
That first dawn, will be so hard to retrieve
