Suntanned stars grace sandy beaches
In chic places to be seen
With thought of next terms games to come
In the English Premier League

The boys are looking well and fit
As they swim and strut their stuff
Tis a shame that when it came to it
They just weren’t good enough

We put them up on pedestals
We idolize the shirt
But when they fail to turn it on for us the fans
We take umbrage and are hurt

Maybe from this they’ll have learnt a lesson
As they take the rays and swim
Thinking you’re the best and actually being the best
Are two completely different things!
