How we crashed down to earth when we couldn’t defend!

The Cork match revealed there was trouble in store.
I had to re-write all the lines that I’d penned,
But it all turned out right in the end.

The rumours were flowing that Shelbourne was doomed.
Dead to the world, we would not be exhumed.
But despite our fatality, we’re well on the mend,
For it all turned out right in the end.

Oh how the Bohs fans cavorted and roared.
Dark nights can be lonely when you haven’t a friend

And as for poor Derry, I’m sure that it hurts
They’re puzzled, bemused and they can’t comprehend
