Every ticket feels like money well spent
There’ve even been times when we’ve struggled to pay the rent
We’re not hard up or even poor
It’s just that football’s what all we live for

When Saturday comes it’s the ultimate hit
Making those tough nine to fives seem all worth it
Up early with a cuppa tea
And bacon butties watchin the telly

Upstairs to change into me kit
Luckily the famous red shirt still fits
Pop out to the newsie to pick up an Echo
Goin the match – that’s where all me money goes

Before leaving the house I go through me checklist
Ticket, scarf, money – that’s about it
Pop into The Albert for a quick double top
But I can’t get served it’s like the old Kop

Rammed to capacity all the fans are singing
Drinking, joking, dreaming of winning
Leaving the Albert I go to me turnstile
And like in church queue up in single file

Hand in me ticket, go through the gate
Then for a pint before it’s too late
Finish me pint, get a proey
Then walk up to me seat to meet our Tony

Teams read out to cheers and boos
Capacity crowd today, we won’t lose
Then comes our anthem in our sacred home
Words so inspiring, You’ll Never Walk Alone

Scarves, flags and banners all held aloft
The centrepiece that is the famous Spion Kop
The teams arrive to which the Anfield crowd
greets with deafening applause, ear-splittingly loud

There’s nowhere else I’d rather be
Than here at Anfield every other Saturday
