The boys should be ready, all in the zone
A good win today would cheer up the Kop
And take us within three points of the top

Benayoun and Gerrard have them nervous at the back
Chances go begging, it could be a rout
Villa so lucky to keep the reds out

Would leave our fans all feeling sick
A Young floated ball, time stands still
An own goal by Lucas, to Villa one nil

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Bad refereeing would hurt us once more
On the stroke of halftime when Villa would score
A corner by Shorey, towards the near post
A header by Davies, he creeps in like a ghost

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Second half starts we’re in disarray
Villa will just not allow us to play
At last we get lucky, make it two – one
A volley by Torres, the game is back on

You can sense in the air that something is wrong
A Gerrard foul on Reo-Coker
An Ashley Young pen the final choker

Rafa scolds the boys, they have to give more
We have to improve at Bolton away
And bring three points home with much better play
