A Child’s Dream

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Bounce bounce goes the ball
Against the ancient jigger wall
Kick kick goes my foot
The same old boring rut
But then I’m home at Anfield
My magic foot I’ll wield
The opposition I won’t shelter
For I will score a screaming belter.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Weaving my magic
Through a defence so tragic
Dribble, dribble, pass and move
Finding the famous Liverpool groove
The crowds sing and shout
Opposing fans pout
For in my Anfield stage
I am the newest craze.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Suddenly I am woken
With my Liverpool dream broken
Me, my ball and the wall
Longing for that Anfield call
Though it will never happen to me
For I’m not good enough don’t you see?
But now and again my Anfield dream
Will include my name in our team!
