1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 What present would you like ?
said Father Christmas to the boy
you can have anything you want
maybe you’d like a nice new toy ?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I don’t want anything for myself
but can I have a present for my Dad ?
because he’s been miserable lately
and I hate to see him unhappy and sad.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I don’t see why not said kind old Santa
but what gift would he really like ?
if he’s into sport I’ve got a nice tracksuit
or what about a twenty gear racing bike ?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 No there’s just one thing my Dad wants
and it’ll be the best one he’s ever had
can you stop his team from getting relegated
because he says they’re rubbish and bad ?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Santa asked him what team did Dad support ?
the lad replied that he followed Coventry City
but sadly Father Christmas had to tell the boy
he couldn’t hand out miracles – which was an awful pity !

Rock bottom of the Championship and not a win in eleven games: it’s looking very bleak for the Sky Blues, and us fans are almost now resigned to going down at the end of the season.

This is when your loyalty gets tested but funnily enough there’s still humour amongst some of the fans after games, it does help I guess to try and laugh it off then have a good weep when you get home !
