We all know the one.
In the great tradition of British goalkeeping –
Gordon Banks:
ball up and down like a vertical pinball machine
somehow tipped over.
We’re all expecting ‘TILT’
I still see it in my dreams…

Bravo Gordon (GB for short) but
of course it was the old familiar story –
safe as the Banks of England.

when we had ‘keepers
we could put our unsponsored shirts on.
