Bill Shankly’s Dream

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 There is nothing quite like it there is nothing so good
There is nothing that pours with a fire in your blood
You will be for the dreamin’ as you take to the red
And your pulse is a fever, think St Etienne

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 You’ll witness the glories you’ll shed of the tears
And you’ll stand with your family for days, months and years
You’ll roar for the redmen from The Kop with your mates
A true son of Spion and here you will stay

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Your Dad tells you stories of heroes and legends
Sweet the reign of Dalglish our greatest of redmen
And you’ll join in the songs and the chants and the cheers
And your heart pounds the stars with its hopes and its fears

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 And you’ll wear your red scarf with its passion and pride
And spend hours making banners to fill up the skies
And you’ll give thanks to the legacy that made all this you see
And we’ll drink from the cup that is Bill Shankly’s Dream.
