At Bloomfield Road on a cabbage patch
I watched a really dreadful match.
A nil all draw against the mighty Pool.
Reffed by an aging black-clad fool.

a security man was rude and shirty.
No goal-mouth drama to stir the soul
no scintillating shots on goal.

No atmosphere, no funny chants
both teams ran round like headless ants.
The full-time whistle finally came,
to end this truly awful game.
