Bucket and Sponge Man

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I stand on the sidelines,
Watching the game,
And await a torn hamstring,
Or a groin to inflame.
A scything tackle,
A cynical lunge,
And on I shall come,
With my bucket and sponge,
To tend to the wounded,
Those hurt and in pain.
With my magical might,
I rival David Blaine.
I’ve no first aid experience,
Read no books or manuals,
But it’s as though I am blessed,
With the powers of Paul Daniels.
If it’s a dislocated shoulder,
Or a twisted knee,
My magic sponge can heal
Any injury.
So, if your favourite player
Should trip fall and plunge
To the ground, pray I’m there
With my bucket and sponge.
