Capital Punishment

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 We couldn’t win in London,
we never got owt there,
nee points, nee goals, nee passion,
Geordies in despair

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Then someone had a brainwave,
bring in this special fella,
the Gunners they were reeling
welcome Uri Gellar

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 It all took place at Highbury
on Arsenals famous turf
Arsenal 1 Newcastle 3
was this the toons rebirth

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Alas it’s back to normal
it’s plain for all to see
Newcastle in mid table
it’s mediocracy

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 The final straw for many
arrived on Monday night
Dyer with the armband on
not a pretty sight

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Glen’s misjudged it big style
he’s now lost most the fans
the chair that he now sits in
may soon be big Sams.

Notes

Roeder prides himself on knowing the NUFC fans as he was club captain. Dyer being named captain is probably the biggest insult to NUFC fans Glen could have made.
