What can Gooners fans say?
Au revior, c’est la vie
We won’t stand in his way

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The years he had here, were fantastic
We won trophies, broke records galore
But leaving right now is just….tragic
Will Barca fans have that kinda rapport?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Last season he spent on the side lines
Warming the bench up most games
At our club, these are quite trying times
As the boardroom power fiasco remains

Though his leaving is causing us pain
We’ll wish him the best, maybe see him again
Our team coming out minus him, will look strange

Why, we even drove French Renault cars
With him in the team we scored hundreds of goals
So adieu, adieu mon ami, it’s saddens us fans departez!

Notes

I’ve written this in the guise of a Gooner(sick), I truly (even as a Blue) am deeply saddened by the news, if it’s true, that Thierry Henry, (or Terry Henry as we say in West London) is set to leave The Emirates.

This Thierry Henry bloke, it has to be said (as they say on the telly) is a bono-fide, eighteen carat top notch footballer and a right decent human being to boot.

One of the real class acts from abroad, whom any football fan, in this country, would love to have turn out in his/her team’s shirt every week, without question.

So to the Camp Nou Theirry et vous?

Er…. Eds, it might better for vous to check La Francias, language as you’ve probably guessed, from reading this, is not my forte!
