Chelsea 1-0 West Brom

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 the banners were out
some merely in jest
but the message was clear –
he’s an unwelcome guest

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 for the sake of the team
the booing was muted
but the feelings of the fans
can never be disputed

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 he was never wanted
he’ll never be embraced
and the midweek rant
was in seriously sour taste

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 still a win’s a win
one – nil on the park
but united in voice
we’d prefer Stevie Clarke!

Premiership match # 28

Rafa’s midweek rant was greeted with very few boos or jeers – because the fans didn’t want to unsettle the team.

Opposing manager (& Chelsea old boy) Steve Clarke was given a rousing reception.

The winning goal : from a short corner, a deep cross that tempted Ben Foster out, David Luis headed back across goal and Ramires finished.

Apart from that, Fozzy was on top form, and an England recall looks likely.
