Christmas 2015

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 There’s something about this time of year.
Emotions run high as Christmas draws near.
Sadness can find a new level to grow.
Memories jarred at the first sight of snow.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 When Christmas arrives, all glitter and frost.
We feel closer than ever to those we have lost.
The tears we spill sting that little bit more.
Prayers are said like never been said before.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 When Christmas bells are first heard to peal.
There’s a certain sorrow I can’t help but feel.
And as those bells echo beneath skies of grey.
To Liverpool’s Anfield stadium I make my way.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The streets all around me are strangely bare.
No match day spills or frenzy to fill the air.
At the eternal flame, some flowers I lay to rest.
In memory of every victim since heaven blessed.
