Come and Have A Go If You’ve Got £Five Million

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 You think you could do a better job
Well you couldn’t do much worse
All you need is a junior hacksaw
To cut the strings upon the purse
To remove all the deadwood
To manage anchor debts
Could you really back us
Come on, place your bets
Payments made as parachutes
To ease the Championship pain
Relegation leads to rainy days
And it sure knows how to rain
Our leading strikers sidelined
It’s a worrying factor
New signings slow to come here
Stuck on the A14 behind a tractor
So you’re fed up, well take my place upon the board
I’m fed up with puns on feeding
Stump up the cash and I’ll be gone
Cut my ties, I won’t be bleeding

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 A penny for your thoughts
Five million pounds for your dreams

Notes

Delia and her husband are feeling that football costs a little too much these days having poured £8 million into NCFC, and she has challenged someone to come forward with the money to take her place. And fans moan about their £400 investment in a season ticket.

I hope that nobody takes her up on the ‘offer’, we may not be having a great time at the moment but we wouldn’t want to become a clone club where the football really doesn’t matter.
