Football at School

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The day was glum,
And the clouds rolled in,
But we all would come,
To the school within.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 We all would learn,
Or sit alone,
Knowing the teacher wasn’t stern,
But we couldn’t go home.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 But the day soon passed,
And lunch time came,
We all would cuss,
And call them names.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 We then came out,
To have some fun,
Without a doubt,
The exercise done.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 We’d run around,
And shoot the goals,
We weren’t bound,
By field, nor poles.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 A simple game,
Brightened the day,
And made life seem,
A better way.

Notes

A special thank you to Stuart for teaching us all about football those few lunchbreaks I’m sure you know who I am.
