Frank McAvennie took a stroll
Along the infamous Gallowgate,

A fire burning in his soul,
Dressed McAvennie in the hoops
And pointed to the direction of the goal.

When McAvennie scored Celtic’s goals,
Songs could be heard along the Gallowgate,
Celtic’s cross shone high over Glasgow,
For there it has stood, since 1888.
