In old Glasgow’s famous east end,

And prayed morning, noon and night,
That from the Calton, he would walk to Paradise
And wear the jersey of green and white

And of the passion that the supporters possessed,
His heroes he would see play on a Saturday,

As he fought for Celtic’s cause in every game,
For we witnessed the passion, devotion and spirit,
And Tommy Burns was his name.
