Ger McCarthy

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Some wonder if he’s
Better suited to cricket.
At least he’s the speed
To run hard to the wicket.
He can trap a ball further
Than most men can kick it.
It hits off his knee
When he’s trying to flick it.
The slagging is such
I’m surprised he can stick it.
But the ball o’er the top
Is quite clearly his ticket,
The defenders seem slow
Like they’re forming a picket.
When games are quite tight,
He will come on and nick it.
Oh, I wouldn’t swap Ger
For a million.
