1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Sadly Eusebio has passed away
another great player from the past,
he was a genius on the ball
and with electric pace so fast.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 He really was a great footballer
up there with the one and only Pele,
he was way ahead of his time
and would be a superstar today.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Some players are just great
they are just better than the rest,
Maradonna, Cruyff, Zidane,
Puskas, Messi and Georgie Best.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 They have so much skill
with magic in their feet,
they do things with the ball
that will get you out of your seat.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Great players excite and thrill
as you stand and watch in awe,
they will beat one or two defenders
and go round the keeper to score.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 So R.I.P. the great Eusebio
who I watched on T.V. as a boy,
and thank you for the goals
and bringing so much joy.

Notes

I remember first seeing Eusebio in the 66 World Cup when he scored four I think against the Koreans ?

He had everything; pace, skill, and could score goals from all angles.

I’d put him in the top ten all time greats.
