I have dreamt a dream

Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The ambient glow seeping from the arena was produced solely by one voice – a United voice,

Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Stretford shook with warrior-like chants as the Devils began their march to conquer all that stood in their paths,

Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Ferguson remembered the nigh of ’99, when Europe fell to the Reds,

Leave a comment on verse 4 0 His steady hand shivered, his solid heart pounded as the test of all tests was upon him once more,

Leave a comment on verse 5 0 A ninety-minute battle to the literal death as this could be the end of a legacy set in stone,

Leave a comment on verse 6 0 On the stroke of the hour the champions were down, in debt to the Spanish Kings,

Leave a comment on verse 7 0 A debt that must be repaid,

Leave a comment on verse 8 0 Just twenty to go, the Red Sea sang ‘Ooh Aah! as Van Nistelrooy produced level terms,

Leave a comment on verse 9 0 Keane led the charge, as Ferguson knew the eventual outcome,

Leave a comment on verse 10 0 Two minutes left and Scholes hits again, louder grew the United song,

Leave a comment on verse 11 0 ’99 relived, the critics silenced, the Kings’ heads held high, a legacy set in stone,

Leave a comment on verse 12 0 The Theatre of Dreams produces again, as Manchester United live on.
