we beat United two nil
to win the Worthington Cup
one step this Season up the steep , Trophy Hill
seventy five thousand witnessed the thrill
Liverpool F.C Two
Manchester United nil

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 the thing is it could`ve been four
so many chances but we couldn`t score
but in the end it took a piece of Magic
Gerrard your goal was fan bloody tastic
outside the box you picked your spot
Bartez my friend you simply lost the plot
O.K it took a slight deflection off Beckham`s leg
but it was already a goal when it left Gerrard`s peg

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 late in the second half it was Owen who put the icing on the Cake
after being fouled he got up before it was too late
ran half the pitch with Didi Hamman
who passed the Ball to Owen and he finished as best as only he can
there it was Owen made it Two Nil
by that time i`d bit me nails and took another calm me down pill
Wes and Tony went a bit doo lally
what can you expect when you go to Cardiff with a couple of Scally`s

we did well to end it that way
what can i say
it was Liverpool`s day..
