Just Like Dalglish

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Just like Dalglish
I’d spin and turn
This genie’s skills I longed to learn
From the old backyard a battered wall
The schoolyard academy I played them all
Upon a park of broken glass
Around whose traps I learned to pass
My bloodied knees my broken boots
My weary heart would still pursue
With desk neglected lessons ignored
Those dull equations left me bored
But shots on goal from across the pitch
I’d work out the angles
Just like Dalglish!
