Justice For The 96

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Justice is sleeping she covers her ears
Puts a mask on emotion pretends she can’t hear
But the days and the months have now turned into years
And 96 reasons remain with us here

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 For keeping the fight for each voice to be heard
To speak out and challenge with our paintings and words
We’ve been slagged off as scum and so much worse
Robbin’ our dead as their blood stained the earth

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 “Typical Scousers” you can just read the thoughts
But for 96 dead the truth has been bought
Stitched up in the nets who in tragedy trawl
But think – it could’ve been you a name on that wall

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Fathers and Mothers Daughters and Sons
All counting the cost and thy will not been done
Dig deep into your pockets and send up your prayers
Remind those around you Justice comes first

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 It’s not just about Liverpool this touches us all
We must all stand together because divided we fall
Every man woman and child who call themselves fans
Must give with their hearts and offer their hands

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 So think of the names that you read on that wall
96 reasons, don’t let there be anymore
The words I have written cost nowt and for free
Please don’t forget Hillsborough, and let Justice be…
