Kevin Keegan Picture Card

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I have been to Stanstead Abbotts; I have been to Leigh On Sea
I have spent some time in paradise, I have even been to me.
I have wandered over mountains and spent a night in Chard.
All of this in search of Kevin Keegan’s picture card

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Every school day morning, you could find me in the shop.
Buying packs of football cards and see who I could swap
He was the king of English football How could it be so hard
To find even a single Kevin Keegan picture card?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Kevin Keegan’s picture card, was elusive from the start
I had 6 of Trevor Whymark and some ginger bloke from Hearts.
Loads of Colin Suggetts and a pair of Terry Paines
Conspicuous by his absence was Keegan’s picture card again.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 There were always reported sightings of the card that no one had
That some kid from down the road had one that was taken by his Dad
The Dad then tore the thing in half and used it for a tab.
The lack of Keegan’s picture card was driving people mad.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 I got a Kevin Keelan card and changed the L into a G
I did it with a felt tip pen it was unsatisfactory
They found the Mary Rose and the full works of the Bard
But still they never found that Kevin Keegan picture card.
