Leave ‘Van The Man’ Alone

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 This poem goes out in tribute,
To Ruud Van Nistelrooy,
He’s been a hero to me, as well as
Every other boy.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 His hair, his build and strength
All helping to ensure,
There’s something for the ladies too,
So who could ask for more?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Now I’m tired of all the people
Who say my hero cheats,
It’s defenders, who won’t kick the ball,
They always kick his feet.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 They do this for one reason
They know too well, I’m sure
If Ruud is let near goal at all
There is no doubt he’ll score.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So leave him alone I tell you
Just let the poor man be
The whining of opposing fans
Depicts their jealousy

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 He is the best at what he does
Among the world’s elite
And because he plays for the opposite team
You all call him a cheat

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Swallow pride, and recognise
Talent where it is found
Whether it be in your own home
Or another team’s home ground

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 And to conclude, I’ll just say that
I don’t support ‘Man U’
But I can still admit out loud
How cool a player is Ruud!

Notes

I can’t stress it any more
Leave him alone!
