Never Came To Me

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 You never came home that day; never came home to me.
I look up and picture Heaven; you’re an Angel now I see.
You went to a football game, like hundreds of times before.
I wish I’d told you I loved you just that bit little bit more.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 You never came home that day; never came home to me.
I still remember listening the radio as nervous as could be.
‘Liverpool fans are injured, some fatalities’ the reporter said.
If only I was there to help you, if only it was me instead.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I expect it’s just human nature to think and fear the worst.
But my instinct was that I’d lost you, that’s what I thought first.
The people that caused your death have always remained free.
But I never saw you alive again; you never came home to me.
