Neville! Neville! Your team is a mess!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Thought I’d write to air my views
after England’s latest defeat;
trying to be cool, calm and collected
is difficult after yet another
shambolic, disjointed performance.
After encouraging opening
we just never got going
and got passed off the park
by the Spanish.
A measly two shots on goal
in the ninety minutes
tells its own story.
Under this manager the
team is going backwards
rather like most of the
players’ passes.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Listen Gary Neville:
fans have every right to boo;
they pay their hard-earned coin
to support the likes of you.
They want to see desire,
action and goalmouth thrills
not pampered primadonnas
with virtually no skills.
See Gary that’s the trouble:
the players don’t understand;
they live inside a bubble,
earning more than sixty grand.
Instead of playing the next game
try following the national team;
spending your weekly salary
in an attempt to chase the dream.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 As for Steve Maclaren –
he’s clearly out of touch,
saying he sees the positives
shows he must be out to lunch.
His team have failed to win in four,
scoring just one paltry goal.
With Israel fast approaching
he may soon be on the dole.

Notes

I despair of our national football team. Can you remember the last time we played really well in ANY match?
