with the Addicks arriving
to upset new manager
Appleton’s applecart.
2-1 defeat at Ewood hard
to bear for Blackburn’s ‘loyal’ fans
who vent their collective spleen
at Indian owners Venkys.
Much maligned chicken farmers
arrive at the famous old ground
in a fleet of posh cars and
a blur of tinted glasses,
nonplussed by supporters’ reaction.
More boos on the final whistle
as Venkys vanish and
punters pine for days of
yore and Walker.
