1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 So, Rochdale at home, and there’s a lot to unpack,
(a tough one today, but I think we missed Zac…)

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 we kept a good shape, pretty strong at the back,
(but, still, we were definitely missing Zac…),

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 we moved it about well, but shy in attack,
(cos, you know… like I said, we were missing Zac…)

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 and when caught on the break, just a little bit slack,
(but then, maybe not, if we’d only had Zac…)

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 in midfield it feels like there’s something we lack,
(yes… plays like a daemon, calls himself Zac?)

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 and we know, from the fans, that we’re gonna get flak.

Notes

We (Oxford City FC) had just lost 1-0 at home to Rochdale… two losses on the bounce to open our first season in the National League, but actually the lads played pretty well and were unlucky to not get a point. This one is a light one, as we fans know we were missing a crucial player from our midfield this game and last, and actually had he played we feel we’d have the result today.

So this one is a tribute to Zac Mceachran.
