Rocket Man, Rocket Man

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Rocket man, rocket man, is it foretold,
Your coffee’s so hot, but your heart is so cold?
Sitting down here with one eye on the match,
I’m sure you would make a desirable catch.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The game is exciting, but jubilant scenes
Just cannot compare with your rich coffee beans.
When that dark brown aroma comes wafting and drifting,
My nose and my heart find it wildly uplifting.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Rocket man, rocket man, you’re so reserved,
I’ll give you the love you have surely deserved.
On matchdays, my terrible thirst never wavers
And I can’t wait to sample your succulent flavours.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Here is my money, please pour me a bevy.
I’ll help make your large liquid burden less heavy.
Accept these few coins that I’m nervously tending,
And maybe together we’ll do our own blending.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Rocket man, rocket man, please tell me why
Your coffee’s so wet, but your humour’s so dry.
Your head is so frothy, ‘twould be my delight
If you’d warm me up on a cold, winter’s night.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Whither thou goest, I surely will follow,
You give me such beautiful fluids to swallow.
You don’t catch my eye when you pour out my drink –
Now what is a thirsty supporter to think?

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Rocket man, rocket man, my heart is a-breaking,
My lips are all parched and my thirst needs some slaking.
Without you these games would be colder and bleaker,
So pluck up the courage and hand me a beaker.
