Sco’hemian Rap-sody.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I’m a supporter o’ Haggistoun,
Resplenden’ in their shirts o’ broun,
Shorts o’ white an’ socks o’ green,
I’m proud t’ say they are m’ team, YO,
Th’ Gen’ral Manag’r is call’d Jock,
When he says “Aye” he firs’ says “Och,”
Bu’ he does no’ wear th’ kilt,
Rumour is he’s tae well built, HOOTS,
Th’ goalie, big bad Bob McGraw,
Bawls foul abuse a’ his ain back four,
They block their ears t’ ev’ry word,
So he’s obscene bu’ niver heard, YO,
Our new striker comes from Nice,
Used t’ play f’r th’ French Police,
He’ll cause ‘keepers grea’ alarm,
An’ his name is Jean d’ Arme, OUI,
Th’ capt’in is aul’ Jim McLeod,
Attrac’s th’ lasses in th’ crowd,
Black beard flowin’, grey streaks shinin’,
This dark McLeod has a silver linin’, YO,
Our wee team may draw or lose,
We’ll still a’ ge’ on th’ booze,
Bu’ when they win we shout an’ sing,
Even do th’ Highlan’ Fling, OCH,
Tooth f’r tooth an’ aye f’r aye,
“In wi’ th’ heid!” is wha’ we cry,
I’ll a’ways be a Haggistoun man,
Member o’ a selec’ wee dram, YO.
