Six Pointer

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 What a game!
What a team!
What a fight back!
Welsh dragon slain,
One important win,
Three deserved points
Every clichés employed
To described what should be a
Season defining game.
Two points from automatic promotion,
Three points behind leaders,
Could get any better?
Most would argue no but
I beg to differ
I could have been better,
If I was the gaffer.
Not only for the teams but the town of
Middlesbrough would have been on everyone’s lips
From Carolina to the Great Wall of China,
I would have taken more holidays then the Prime Minister
I know that’s impossible but
I would have a damn good run at it
Acres of coverage in the tabloids of me chatting up barmaids
Would have turned even Mr. Cameron green,
I would have dithered more than the Deputy Prime Minister,
If that was possible,
And put my foot in it more than
Boro’s living legend,
Most would argue that is impossible
I’ve never been fazed by difficult challenges.
