As our hopes go down the drain
Castle’s in the air, we’ll build upon
As The Cup’s come round again.

Upsets when we caused ’em’
“Were the nuts” when we woz kids
How we felled them mighty champions
With our scratch team on the skids.

In the papers we were write off’s
Had a snowballs chance in hell

On our jaunts, by train or mini bus
As know all pundits called us spineless

Ah sure, hope as they say is a wonderful thing
Most grey days, it can brighten up
So who ever you follow, try’n be hopeful of winning
Cos that splashed with luck, may just help your team lift The Cup!
