The Unheard Terrace

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Widescreen TV and the tang of smoke
All packed together and united shouts
Heavy rumbling and nervous folk
Sound turned up and quivering pouts
Having a drink and hard, dry throats
Commentary is lost and glasses smash
Ashtrays full and discarded coats
Shirts worn proudly and looking flash
Goals go in and saves are made
Friendships affirmed and faces change
Grimaces can turn and smiles can fade
Kicks are crucial and emotions range
Hands seen shaking and order at the bar
Cheers beckon and a welcome coup
Heartbeats steady and ready to go far
Bottles are raised and a team is through.
