Theatre of Means

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 My love was deep, my love was true
Forever mine – if I only knew
What fate would bring, what time would do
To make this Red, so damn blue

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I pledged my soul, to the end of time
To my dying breath – for there was no sign
Of the things to come, at this club of mine
That’s rocked my faith, put me in decline

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I stood with friends, sang long and loud
Roared on the boys, defiant and proud
But things have changed, look at this crowd
A million faces, but not one sound

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 True fans priced out, it’s become so clear
The working man’s not welcome here
Champagne’s replaced the pies and beer
For ‘Corporate’ is the game this year

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Advertisements all round the ground
Businessmen from out of town
No seat for less than £30
Pay up, shut up, sit down!
