Think Once, Think Twice

Build up, knock down; again and again.
So why not keep your mouth closed, just
For once, and think before you speak to
That exclusive-hungry journo waiting in
The wings. You don’t need the money,
You don’t need the attention – your ego
Is already big enough, so do us all a big
Favour and let the football do the talking.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 And while you’re at it, keep your fists to
Yourself. Don’t go to nightclubs, where
You just might get popped – or succumb
To temptation – of one sort, or some other.
Then the cameras and the gossip will go
Somewhere else; so keep it cool, keep it
Clean – keep it close to your chest and
Don’t be so daft. A short life, a rich life –
A fan’s dream; don’t abuse it, respect it.
