where they struggle to survive
forced to just endure …

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 pass and move.. goal ! goal !
pass and move …goal ! goal ! goal !
pass and move…..goal ! goal !

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 when the penny drops
there’s no consolation found
when you love a team

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 carried on the wave
cracks we’d seen were opened wide
broken thrashed destroyed

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 this was something else
love or loathe the German style
how it purred with class

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 effortless they stream
disciplined this smooth machine
ruthless and precise

they were taught a lesson here
time to learn anew

just like us they start again
for a new Brazil

….
or like some non -league (so called) minnow making the semis in the FA Cup and suddenly getting the biggest reality check of its life.

But didn’t we all get a little bit carried along with the romance and the country’s dream of it all?
