Why Do We Do It?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Not all the ticket
We’re not all there
Attendances falling
Pay to view the millionaires
What do you get for your money?
Disappointment and a plastic seat
Witness idle, diving, cheats

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Like cattle, prodded to renew
Discounts for early signings
Forget about the 4-1 hidings
Shrugging and shuffling
We apologetically turn up again
Can’t explain to the wife
It’s just part of our life

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 What else would you do
You have to renew
Saturdays wouldn’t be the same
Without a slice of the beautiful game
Though it’s gone stale
We always go, never fail

Notes

We’re all crazy right? Inspired by an advert by Rethink, the mental health charity, seen on a local bus.

“Call me mad because I think Norwich City will win the league, not because I have schizophrenia”
