World Premiere

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Anticipation, excitement building all week
Pat couldn’t eat, Brian couldn’t sleep
Evergreen on Sunday, boos or cheers?
The blood, the sweat, the secret fears
I was nervous for them, a full house please
Twas duly obliged, a very tight squeeze
The FOCC were at the forefront
Forthright, candid and as usual blunt
Ashley was super, no dates were confirmed
De Bishop a newbie in relative terms
Stories abounded of seasons gone by
The Passion of Moses drew a tear from the eye

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 With the final credits, a standing ovation
It kept on going, no cessation
Back slapping the likes you’ve never seen
Now that we’re stars of silver screen
“Twas all quite pleasant, all quite nice
Wife said I used expletives twice”
I had gotten my poem done up twice framed
Which we duly presented, filmmakers acclaimed
Like cats with the cream, a happy meow
The Connolly brothers, please take a bow
If you have any stories yet to be seen
Step forward and bring them to Table 13

Notes
