To eventually lose this game
While Drmic should have burst the net
But a strike-force this bloke ain’t.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Though I almost fell asleep
Once or twice (like the Argentine defence)
I really had to do my best to keep
Both eyes on the search for excellence.

I thought through tired eyes
Have the other ten shot off home
To watch their idol or maybe Wimbledon televised?

To give it a real go
I couldn’t see how they could lose
Argentina’s back four look so slow

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Di Maria. I’m almost certain that’s his name
Tried one of then flashy flicks
Then continued to moan through-out the game
So I know where he’s coming from with this

Oh I think Di Maria may have scored
Then Switzerland almost rolled it back
When they hit the post as I was stifling a yawn.

I’m really at a loss for words to say
I’ve decided I’d rather be in the armchair snoring
Than Switzerland and Argentina play.

Has announced his retirement from the game
After watching this little lot I know exactly how he felt
I would have probably done the same.

Notes

The worst game I’ve seen in ages. I do hope Belgie give Argentina at least a few problems to make that match a bit more pleasing to the eye. Argentina, defensively at least, are there for the taking. America, with the open way they play, would have probably made for better viewing, but hey. You or I can’t have it all ways?
