ALBION vs. WOLVES

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Forget your Reds v. Blues-
that’s really old news
Or your City vs. United-
that won’t get me over-excited
Don’t suggest your Forest’s versus County-
there’s only one derby that really counts
and it’s played in the heart of the Black Country.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 You can lose forty-four games straight,
have the worst season you’ve ever had,
but do the double over Wolves
and things haven’t been so bad.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Some games fade away
into the blandness of a nil-nil draw.
but Baggies fans will never forget
Keith Curle’s own goal score;
Raven’s bullet header;
or Darren Bradley’s screamer:

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 We boing-boinged till we were delirious,
then boing-boinged till our chant was raw.
There’s nothing like the ear-drum pounding cauldron
of The Hawthorns when we score!
